Oils for two-stroke engines
The level of requirements for two-stroke motor oils is presented according to the API classification, formed on the basis of many laboratory tests. Based on this classification, two-stroke engine oil is divided into 4 main classes: TA, TB, TC and TD, where the first letter indicates the scope, and the second is responsible for the quality of the oil in alphabetical order. Based on this division, the following purposes of two-stroke engine oil can be distinguished:
- API-TA - oil for two-stroke engines with a volume of up to 50 cubic centimeters with air cooling (mopeds, lawn mowers);
- API-TB - suitable for two-stroke engines with a volume of 50-200 cubic centimeters (scooters, chainsaws, motorcycles);
- API-TB - suitable for two-stroke engines with a volume of 50-200 cubic centimeters (scooters, chainsaws, motorcycles);
- API-TD is a two-stroke engine oil for boats with outboard motors.
These oils are also suitable for internal preservation of two-stroke engines during storage, transportation and seasonal decommissioning. Exceptional anti-corrosion properties guarantee excellent protection against moisture, snow and sea water.
